Supported Devices

I was wondering which devices will support Continuum. I have the Lumia 640 from AT&T GoPhone and was wondering if it would support Continuum or will have to conform with the Miracast Display?

Currently only the L950 series phones. It probably won't be available for L640.

The processor is the issue with the 640. It's a great phone and I own one, but continuum will only be supported on Snapdragon 617 chipsets and higher. The lower end processors can't handle leaving the phone fully operational while sending a different screen to a monitor without being a laggy and bad experience. It's a cpu and gpu limitation unfortunately.

I'm hoping some mid range 617 devices that support it are available soon. I would love to be able to use that feature myself. I was hoping the 650 would but it's pretty much just a 640 in a better body. That and with no other Lumia devices on the horizon it's up to a 3rd party manufacturer for the time being to fill that spot.
