Well 212 might handle W10M well.. But when it comes to price.. This phone stands nowhere.
When ppl have much better options like moto g.. Why would anyone go for it? Again the price point ₹15,000 is problem. Moto is selling beefier device at between 13 - 14k ₹.

Hardware is not the only factor people consider before buying a mobile device. Why would since one spend hours hard owned money on incomplete product(os)

Lumia 650 is not even close to Moto G. How can they release such device and expect sales? Wish moto made Windows Phones

It is really a null point since Microsoft will make no more Lumia devices. Other OEMs are being asked to fill the hardware ranks and Microsoft will now only make high end reference devices.

Your supposition is about 1.5 to 2 years too late.

Unfortunately this will lead MS nowhere. Other OEM either have limited availability (viz. Viao phone biz) or not interested at all in making phones for Microsoft. Some tried like Micromax and Xolo but it was just one device with no support.
From inception of Windows Phone Nokia was only the major player. If Nokia (now Microsoft) will not make phones.. Then WP is going to disappear altogether.
Atleast their 6 devices per year policy they should follow until we see some seriousness about WP from other OEMs.
