Yup. No longer driving the 1520 daily. I'm not giving up on the ol' gal, just re-purposing her. In the spirit of this long dead thread, http://forums.windowscentral.com/nokia-lumia-520/336534-project-five2oh.html, I'm starting a new one. Supersized in every way.
Imma turn this beast into a no-SIM picture taking machine and a travel companion.
Already done:
I'm still on the fence about using up space for media, but probably will have some music on there at the very least and possibly video as well because the 6" FHD screen is so nice.
[NOTE]This project has been expanded as I have included a Lumia 1020 alongside the 1520. IMHO an ICON or 930 would also serve well. Adding invitations to 830 owners as well. Great camera and many of them will be moving to new daily drivers...
Anyone dedicating their old Windows Phone to Camera Only duty is welcome to participate and add their experiences, results, tips, tricks, etc.[/NOTE]

Already done:
- WDRT back to 8.1 + Denim
- Stripped out all non-essential (for my purposes) apps
- Loaded up on Camera and edit apps
- HERE Suite installed (Maps, Drive +, Transit, City Lens) and downloading maps
- Translator installed and language packs downloaded
- Finalizing settings and Start
- I have a Sandisk Ultra 32GB Class 10 SDHC card to dedicate for this
- I have a great dash top mount for nav
- I have a car charger that will add charge even with nav on-screen
- I have tripod mounts and tripods
- I have a cassette to 3.5 audio jack for in car use
