Htc 8X - Weird battery problem. Am I the only one?

Hi,

My apologizes in advance if my English isn't fully correct, it's not my first language.

I've had my HTC 8X for a couple of months now, and apart from some small bugs and apps that are not available, I'm loving it!
My battery hasn't been lasting very long either actually, but well, which smartphone does?

Since recently, my battery has been acting really weird. When I fully charge it, it will last only for a couple of hours. It'll then randomly shutdown. Not even whit the "goodbye" or anything, but like boom, off. And then it is like at 50% or something! When I plug my phone in again to charge it, the battery is at 1 or 2%.

Am I the only one with this problem? If not, can you guys please give me some info on this. Thanks!

Had my 8x a while now and haven't noticed any problems with the battery mine usually lasts me a full day

It's possible that the battery meter is off, try to drain the battery fully then perform a hard reset.

I could try that, but how do I know if it is drained? It's constantly saying it doesn't have any energy left...

Ive had a few problems with mine. Ive found turning it off for 10 min every few days stops the fast battery drain.

Start>settings>about, scroll down and tap reset your phone, then confirm.

eric12341, the steps are?

1. drain the battery fully
2. Conect to the current.
3. charge full 100%
4. Reset (Start>settings>about)
