Screen on while charging question

Hey guys! When I charge my 8X, the screen times out as I have it set, after 3 mins, but other than going in and manually changing that setting, is there anyway to get the 8X screen to stay on and not 'sleep' only when its plugged up/charging? I still want it to sleep when not plugged in, but Id prefer the screen to stay on during charging. Is it only possible if EVERY time I charge I go into setting and change my time out setting?

Ok, still not solved my issue above, but I did decide to just go in and change my screen time out to never while I charge my phone right now, but I am noticing that it is barely charging at all with it set that way. So thats normal? I have to have the screen off for it to charge at its normal pace? That kinda sucks. :-(

Thing is, the screen being on takes juice.. More so depending on brightness settings.. Think of it like trying to fill a bucket with a big hole on the bottom..
