Connection Setup

So I opened up the connection setup app from HTC with my Trophy on Verizon and it crashed my 3G. The Verizon rep could do nothing but tell my it isn't a supported app and i have to do a hard reset. Anyone else had this happen to them?

I have a GSM only Trophy from Germany. The only way for me to set it up with an AT&T SIM card was to use HTC Connection Setup. There aren't any manual setting with WP7. It works fine for me. So it's basically a GSM setup program.

The only time you would need it is if you traveled outside of the United States and wanted to use a local SIM card. Then only if the local SIM card didn't provide all the setting when you installed it.

Other people who have traveled to Europe and used the GSM function of the Verizon Trophy had trouble getting back on the Verizon CDMA network when they returned and had to reset their phone to get it to work on Verizon again. See this thread: http://forums.windowscentral.com/trophy/182373.htm
