How will MS/Nokia screw up the 730 ?

Typical ******. "You don't need this because I said so" If you're not aware, people like the camera button when they want to go directly to the camera app to take a picture. I use it on my 521, and touch the screen to take the picture. Regression is not progression.

    Nokia Lumia 730 vs Moto G(Gen 2)?

Specs are pretty close so you got to figure the 730 will perform better. Moto G will have slightly larger screen and better app selection though.

Rumor Lumia 730 on U.S. carriers?

I would get the 730 for $200 at most. I'm disappointed in the specs, but if the price was right I could live with it. The 830 is better, but if it's i the $400 range, forget it. Nexus 6 will have way better specs and if history tells us anything, will be in the same ballpark pricewise. I know...

Who is buying the Lumia 830 when it comes out?

Really depends on the price point for me. If it's 5" 720P with SD800 and under $300, I'll likely get it. If it's lower specs or more money, I think I'm going to get the Note 4 Edge (with a contract, that phone would cost an insane amount unsubsidized).

If Microsoft Exits the High-End Phone Market, Will You Stay?

It's going to be tough for the third party companies to justify the expense of making a WP8 app when they hold under 2% of the market. Specifically, I am unable to get a UC app and another app for the managing of the wireless LAN. Given that the integration with OneDrive and Outlook is very...

If Microsoft Exits the High-End Phone Market, Will You Stay?

I won't stay. It's not my preference...The WP8.1 experience is better than the rest. The hardware and app selection is not, however. I currently have an L521. It's been good for the (almost) year I've had it. For $60, no complaints (except I had to buy two after one went in the washer). I like...

So how's your performance on 8.1 Dev Preview?

Mine is average. There is hangups now when there previously were none. Sometimes there is lag in text showing up, the 'resuming...' takings a little longer, etc. I did a couple hard + soft resets as well. It's not terrible, but it certainly did not get faster.

    Disappointing...

I've seen the MetroPCS version for 99 which makes it a little easier to choose it over the 521...would it work for Tmobile?

    Disappointing...

Have had a 521 for about 10 months. I would like to move up after the year mark (which would be December for this phone...first one went through the wash) but the 635 isn't a big enough upgrade. 4.5" screen @ 720p and I would ignore the lack of ffc or flash camera, but as it stands, no deal.

    Worth Updating to 8.1?

Just an FYI, if Cortana does not do much but web searches, you need to do a hard reset. It will not get better without it.

    Lumia 521 power button

My gf's phone does this. I took the case and back cover off and tried to use the button directly...Sort of have to push it in and downward for it to work. She's using an app pinned to the start menu/homescreen that locks the phone and she uses double tap to unlock.

    521 Complete Weirdness

Hey everyone, I've had 8.1 PfD since it came out. My Lumia 521 was running slow and Cortana was broken, and I've done two hard resets and a couple soft resets which fixed Cortana but only slightly improved the lag. Lately, my 521 is behaving very oddly. The alarm clock sometimes never goes...

    Wp8.1 on Nokia Lumia 520

My 521 is slower. I did two hard resets and a few soft resets. By slower, I mean sometimes I'll hit a tile or button (physical or virtual) and the response is not immediate. Sometimes scrolling down for the action center or typing is a little delayed. Really sucks, reminds me of Android.

What about Project My screen via USB?

If beamer was available for the 521 I could just use that
