So how's your performance on 8.1 Dev Preview?

Those of you that have poor performance or other problems: Have you tried taking out the SD card and restarting the phone? I had lots of problems with our 521 and they all went away after I took out the SD card. Granted I haven't updated the phone to 8.1 (I'm waiting for the official release so it doesn't screw up WiFi Calling) but it's a simple enough experiment to try.

I think the problem might be with the 8.1 preview. First, its bot finalized yet, so they haven't squashed all the bugs. Plus the Lumia cyan firmware update is needed with 8.1 (when it comes out officially)

Mine is average. There is hangups now when there previously were none. Sometimes there is lag in text showing up, the 'resuming...' takings a little longer, etc. I did a couple hard + soft resets as well.

It's not terrible, but it certainly did not get faster.

When I went ahead and did the developers preview, I was not expecting a boost in performance; how ever shortcuts and navigations are a whole lot easier now. :-)

I do expect a slight performance boost on the full real update. :) not only will it be stable but we'll have the latest firmware update for the phones so it's full on compatible unlike the developer preview.
