I had problems after the latest update - GPS and compass stopped working. Tried a soft reset, then a hard reset, neither worked. Finally I had to use the recovery tool and reinstall everything from scratch. Pain to do, but phone now working better than ever - give it a try.

The UK Power adaptor say 100-240V so will work either side of the pond. I have known US laptop power supplies that only work on 110V, so worth checking if the US adaptor is the same.

My experience is that it took next to no time to disable! Wish MS would focus on core functionality and stop mucking about with gimmicks. Even die-hard iPhone fans turn of Siri when the novelty wears off.

Isn't this just the Black Screen of Death problem? I changed my settings so that pressing the power button hibernates instead of sleeping. Still get the problem intermittently if I accidentally close the keyboard without hibernating.

I just run it under a tap and use some liquid soap. Seems OK so far. It's got a decent IP rating so bit of water is fine.
