Don't worry, it will be like this forever until maybe the Windows 10 preview. It took MS and Verizon almost a whole year to release a buggy update which broke as many things as it fixed.

Same issue. It's not present on the Nokia or Windows startup screens. It shows just before the Verizon logo on boot and stays.

It seems like a large percentage of Icons have a purple/pink tint on some quadrant of the screen. Most people don't notice it and some are worse than others. I returned 4 until I got one that was minor. Most noticeable on a flat dark gray background.

It's because the AMOLED panel in this phone has really poor color uniformity and linearity with brightness adjustment. At low brightness, the panel has a very strong pink/purple push like many AMOLED screens. I believe the green push is a result of firmware over-correction of it. The problem is...

I saw something like this during a phone call today, the screen turned black and had green and red pixels all over. May be a rare bug related to the DP. Went away when I locked and unlocked the phone though.

The Icon/930 is missing glance because the display doesn't have an extra framebuffer on-board.

Most people don't notice it. Try the Wiper application and do a Gray wipe to see it more clearly, may be more visible on low or high brightness. I have had 4 Icons with the problem.

In my experience with the Icon, some are worse than others. I haven't seen a perfect one yet.

My 2nd device now from Verizon has it even worse, horizontally now. Maybe I should just return it thru Nokia instead.

I'm on my 2nd unit from Verizon with a purple (dark) tint or gradient on either the top or bottom, most visible with dark gray (i.e. system menus, phone call, Wiper app gray wipe test). Is this just intrinsic to the OLED panel in this device? Do I have any shot at getting one without it? Thanks!

If the charger does not list ratings for voltages higher than 5V then it is not Quick Charge 2.0 enabled.
