My 925 does that periodically with my Draytek router, usually a reboot of the router fixes it though. Probably the router in my case as it disappears from my laptop at times as well.

I tried to roll back my 950 the other day and nearly bricked it, got the red screen of death and had to do a flash using thor2.exe to fix it. Don't know what caused it.

Do a standard check for updates and you should get it. When you roll back you get the build your phone shipped with (or close to it) rather than the latest one. My 925 gets 8.1 Cyan as well.
