It might be a network issue though. For example you can have full bars but the BTS can be at its capacity and the call will not go through.

Is it DT-601? If yes - check if it's on the correct side, be advised that it usually charges only when the phone is "on the spot" and it overheats easily (turning off charging until cooled down). Or better - replace with something like DT-900.

You can cover the back with most cases and it will still charge. I use the official one and it charges through it just fine.

I've had 925 and 930 and see no real difference in battery life between these two.
