No difference, in our experience.

We have three Surfaces in my family, and they all do that. Maybe the angles change slightly, but I can confirm this to be normal for the series.

We have two m3s and an i5 in my family and no noticeable difference in performance with moderate browsing or Office-ying.

Hell, why not. Certainly more original and appealing than the usual "wooden" or "metal" skins, and crap like that.

Funny how the other day I posted a thread on another forum saying that I bought 3x SP 2017s (i5, m3, m3) and all of them had light bleed (in one case actually decolorizing buttons on the on-screen keyboard). Also, two of the three devices had auto-hibernation issues (until updating firmware)...

My SP 2017 did wake after opening the "lid", but then an AnswerDesk guy reinstalled some drivers and re-imaged my device (thus fixing the auto-hibernate issue), and it does not work anymore. Shame really, because I liked the feature, and I hope it comes back with the updates to come.

Nevermind, happened again today, probably due to the full reset made.

Reinstalled battery drivers under Device Manager as per Reddit suggestions, and the CS draw now is about 0,5% per 30 mins, so the issue seems fixed.

Yup. Sony Xperia Z3, for instance, was known for its glass back cracking on its own. Count me as a witness.

Yeah, I double-checked all those - adaptive brightness, night mode (which the mode looks more yellowish, by the way). It really just looked as bad as this, unbelievably. I'm not sure what to think about this. If I got a unit looking like this, I'd return it without even finishing the unboxing...
