My uneducated guess would be no, because the current Suface Book is on Intel's Skylake processor, and there's little reason to update a computer that is less then 1 year old. Intel, will have the Kaby lake processor in 2017, so my guess would be, we'd see the SB2 then.

If you're able to get the SB for less at Best Buy, and get a gift card, plus the dock. Yes, I'd go for that, I opted for the MS deal, because I got a good price from their EDU store, and a 30 day return, so I could fully evaluate with this laptop is good for me.
