Installing Office 365 onto my phone, where does it get put?

Best Buy had a deal on some inexpensive, somewhat older Windows Phones, before the end of the year. It?s a Lumia 640. I?d like to install Office 365 onto that phone, but am not sure I can. First, it?s got Windows Phone 8.1 Denim on it; I don?t know if Office 365 on Windows Phone requires Windows 10 Mobile or not. Can anyone tell me, please?

Secondly, where does Office 365 get installed, when you install it on Windows Phones? The Lumia 640 only comes with 8 GB of storage space, although it does have a slot for a microSD card, which I?ve used. Can I install Office 365 onto the microSD card?

All you do is sign into your Microsoft account, all the office365 stuff is already on a windows phone, wither it be win 8, 8.1, or 10.

Really? I'm confused by this, because when you get an Office 365 subscription it says you can download Office 365 to PC, tablet and mobile. I thought it might be different than what comes on the phone.
