Can I get some help with my new Lumia 950?

Bought 2 days ago, Please old users support me

Dears,
I just bought my Lumia 950 2 days ago
I love it too much but have few inquiries "if you could guide me please":

1) I succeeded to transfer contacts from old N70 to my Lumia
when I receive a call mobile displays correct names
HOWEVER
I couldn't find any of my contacts list names to dial even when I search in People (I just find Skype contacts
but didn't find any contacts of what I've transferred from old mobile?)

2) I couldn't download any apps from Store (always Pending) !

3) I found option to Disable Data but I prefer to disable 3G and keep 2G (2G voice + 2G Data: Edge)
is it possible?

2. In the People app, go to the ellipse ... Select settings then find "filter contact list" check to see if your imported contacts are in there and are ticked

I followed your instructions and found: Microsoft Messaging & Skype
I ticked both of them
Still couldn't find my imported contact list

With point number 2, are you on WiFi when instore? If not, is your data turned of? Have you checked the data usage setting (under WiFi and network settings)?? If you are online with WiFi, try turning off and back on WiFi. Maybe reboot router, or check your download setting to see if large files etc are allocated to wifi.

Hi Mad,
I always use wifi with Data tuned off when I download
However, I just updated my WP operating system and noticed important point that there 18 apps trying to update without
informing me like MS office all applications (I stopped them all)
then my store download work properly

I assume you imported contacted from sim?
If so the contacts are saved to your Microsoft account (according to Microsoft's help) , have you added your Microsoft account in the People settings?

Yes imported from SIM
but I still couldn't find it, I feel I did something wrong

is there a way to remove all imported contacts by (transfer my Data) and import it again

Dears,
My phone book searching issue has been solved by download phonebook app from Store
Still facing problem to add ay new number, first phonebook app told me windows phone doesn't allow third party programs to add or edit contacts
second phonebook app told me saving cancelled

Do you have any suggestion !

Yes it gives me a circle with Add Photo words inside then directly exit People app and go to mobile main screen !

if it's crashing right away, I wonder if there's an update available, or at worst, reinstall app.

I had the same problem when I first got my 950. My problem was I had to reset my password. I had to wait 1 whole month to reset my Microsoft account. I had my phone contacts on an older google account and added that to get my numbers back.

Hi. I'll try to explain. When I signed into my Microsoft account, it asked me for a backup account I had several years ago which I had forgotten.
I had to reset my password ( my Microsoft account) but I could not do it for 1 month.

I had to manually enter in all my phone numbers from a PC. What a pain.

I had an google account I added and many of my phone numbers came back.

It's working properly after windows phone & People app have been updated Today morning
Now I can enjoy my lumiaaaaaa 950

also about my 3rd. question for 2G/3G lock,
I just found it at: Settings > Mobile & SIM > SIM Settings > Mobile Networks > Highest Connection Speed (2G/ 3G/ 4G)

Dears,
Living Images worked properly for all photos I took at first day of using my Lumia 950
after that, all photo are fixed however Living Image option is enabled

How could I control my photo to be Living Images please !
It's an fantastic option
