lastly, you could consider the lower end Nokia phones 5xx,6xx,7xx, these would meet you cost requirements, but you would sacrifice, quality of camera, screen resolution, and sound quality, not to say these are bad phones, but you get what you pay for

The 720 is the best lumia you can get in your price range...its battery life stands far out from any Windows phone and it has an excellent camera (much better than the 820).

If you want something that is the most comfortable to hold and use with one had, go for the lumia 620.

Good Day!
Since my HTC Evo 3D is running slower and slower, and I'm really excited about WP, I'm planning to buy a WP Phone. It should cost between 150-270 € and have a HD Display.
Anyone of you have suggestions or recommendations? Thanks in Advance!

As always, I advise everyone to check out Feature Suggestions: Top (38609 ideas) – Feature Suggestions for Windows Phone, the "What does WP need" threads in this forum, as well as the WP app store to ensure that the phone can do everything you need it to before buying.

Cheers,

If you select the 920 over the 925, do it for the extra storage space. Wireless charging is overrated imo, and not worth the extra weight on the device. The 925 has a better camera, but that doesn't mean the 920 takes poor images, far from it.

The 925 is 380 € here in Germany, the 920 250 € :(

Oh yikes! Well that would pretty answer that question for me! The 920 is a great phone, its weight is the only way I could fault it.

The 925 model has only 16GB!! only the Vodafone branded has 32GB, it's exclusive to vodafone with this capacity.
928 yes it's sold for Verizon in USA only, but can be bought from ebay brand new and will work with any GSM carrier in Europe except that it won't connect to LTE only HSDPA.

Eh, I would offer the Nokia 520 instead if you're going to suggest they "test" Windows Phone with a cheap device, only because it runs WP8. Telling someone to buy an old WP7 device that barely works with what's available now is setting them up for failure

Thank you all for the help. I decided to go with a black Lumia 920 and hope that it arrives soon.

Great choice!! I believe Microsoft said they will support all WP 8 generation 1 devices for like 36 months, give or take due to my bad memory for numbers. The 920 you are getting should get updates for another year - year and a half. I love the 920. It still holds up to the WP8's and top end Androids in performance and features. And the black has got that great matte finish I wish Nokia put on all their devices.

Welcome to WPC, by the way!! Glad you are posting here. Let us know what you think!! The L920 forums are alive and can help you with any problems/questions you have.

I think mobilephoneguru
is just a troll. He said "windows mobile", he has 1 post and he suggests an old outdated phone..... just don't take him serious ;)
