Reason I'm starting this here is because I have a surface Go and am weighing this option. This has the ability to be Microsoft's best selling S Mode device so it's relevant to this product I feel.

My question, Does upping S Mode to full windows and toggling the app installations to only install from the windows store in essence have the same protections of S Mode? The thing that seems nice about this in that you can easily toggle at any time whether you want Windows to download applications outside of the app store and revert it back easily if you want.

If full windows 10 home allows me to do this, why would I want to keep my device in S Mode?

Maybe because reverting back to S mode means having to install windows again?
I changed out of S Mode 2 hours after receiving it, for me, I don't see a downside...
