Surface Pro 3 ? Hard drive noise

I have had a SP3 for about 6 months now and love it. But over the last few weeks it has started making a noise like you would hear in a laptop where the hard drive was about to die, particularly when going between tasks and saving etc. (so not a constant noise). Does anyone know what that might be and how to fix it - or is it normal?
