I sold my SP3 to my friend in Arizona when I was out there on business (I then bought a Surface Book)
He is plugging in 2 external displays, both using mini displayport to VGA or DVI connectors.
Now he has a printer that attaches VIA USB and when I plug it in - nothing. But it works fine when plugging directly into the SP3. I have seen posts on her lamenting about the underpowered USB ports. Is this what I am experiencing? And if so, would attaching a powered USB hub "fix" this issue without me having to buy the computer back from him? Also, when trying to plug in devices into the USB, one of his monitors will go out until we unplug it and plug it back in. This doesn't always happen but did a few times when supporting it remotely. Any ideas? :unhappysweat:
Thanks all, really in a pickle on this.
