Can a surface pro 4 charger charge surface pro 3

My sp3 charger recently caught fire and died because it was the American version and I live in the middle east. It has been working fine for the past year and a half but its dead now.
Because of my critical situation and how I need my sp3 these days I was forced to buy an sp4 charger online because sp3 chargers are rare these days. I got it yesterday and it has been working fine.
I am just worried that on the long run it may affect my sp3 causing something to blow up or something because I heard about the difference in watts and all that

What do you guys think ?

as long as the pin is the same, it shouldn't be much of a problem. Devices have inbuilt protection against higher currents
