Why did my touch screen stop working after updating?

Touch screen stopped working after update

I received and installed few firmware updates earlier today, and now i cant use my touch screen or even the pen on the display anymore. BTW, i just reinstalled Windows 2 days ago because of the same issue. Anyone having the same problem? If I hadn't own the type cover, I dont think i can even go pass the login screen.

I have tried disabling and uninstall the driver in the device manager, specifically the 'HID-compliant touch screen' and nothing worked. I do not want to reinstall the Windows again because F no to having to reinstall all the other software again.

Any other more technical fixes I should do besides the obvious restart/reboot and whatnot?

I see this glitch from time to time, not usually to this extent though. Typically I just lock and then unlock the screen and it'll come back.
