Hi all,

Sorry for my english as french is my mother tongue ;-)

I have a strange problem with my Lumia 1020 that I will try to explain.

Everything works fine except the Voice command or recognition.

1)I can have call conversation without any problems
2)When I record a video, I have sound on it

So, I imagine that the microphone is working fine....however

When I push the Windows key in the front, I have the voice assistant that comes up...anything I say, I got the message "Sorry, but we didn't hear what you say, please repeat.....". The same happen when I try to use the search button and want to dictate my research.....same happen when I try to dictate an SMS or a mail....To be more clear, normally when you speak to your phone, you should see little dots moving up and downs beside the "Speak"...on my phone, the dots are not moving at all, this I imagine, means that the microphone is not working...or at least not hearing me....

I sent my Lumia 1020 to Nokia back for a check, they changed the microphone, now I have my phone back, but still the same issue....

What I have already done, is reset the phone, hard reset of the phone, re-install the firmware...nothing changed.

Did one of you have faced the same trouble ?
Is it possible that the microphone which record the sound for video and the one for voice command are different ?
Is is possible that I flash the phone with a wrong firmware and this disabled the voice command recognition ? (comparing the Firmware with the Build ID, see below)

Thanks a lot for all your guess or all your answers,

Nicolas

I did some research on this in the forum. Couple of questions.

Do you have headphones plugged in when trying to speak to the phone?
Do you have bluetooth on when trying to use it?

Thanks for your answer.

Here are more tests I have done.

1)Bluetooth off and no headphones connected when I tried it directly on the phone
2)It works very well with the bluetooth headphones connected

Thanks for your help,

Nicolas
