i have forgotten my nokia lumia 1020 password can i recover it

i was updating my nokia 1020 phone and i have forgoten the pasword can anyone give me any advice as how to retrive it without resettit.aAs i dont want to loose a lot of pictures i have taken since buying it?

Go to hotmail.com on your PC, choose Forgot password, then pick the option to recieve your new pw by message, and the rest you know.
I assume you have already linked your phone's number to your MS account.
