I remembered using the field test app on my L920 to force the phone into 3G only mode since AT&T took out the option to change them manually in the settings. I was not too happy when they removed Field Test Mode. I tried it on the L1520 and lo and behold, Field Test is back!! Some short codes that I tried and work on the phone are below. Also, I'm not responsible if you break, damage or brick your phone and all that good stuff

Field Test: ##3282#

Color & Lifetime Counter: ##646#

Sim Lock Status: ##7820#

Tier3 Status: ##4678255# (I have no clue what this is. Something about installed apps.)

These were all taken from this thread over at XDA

I tried in my RM-937 yellow and the only one that works is the Tier3 Status: ##4678255# . It lists several miniupdates with some "guids" and some other nokia software like Nokia Care, Transfer my Data and so on.
I really need the Field Test: ##3282#. Without it my cell phone almost has never good internet connection. (I experienced the same in my previous Lumia 900 and the field test to lock to 3G worked smoothly after months of pain)

its the origin of the rom... it will tell us from which country and region that rom is.. Product type is RM-937.. Product code can be found on the sim tray or sd card

Unfortunately ##3282# doesn't work on my 1520.3 running Cyan with 8.1 Update 1. I am really interested in measuring the signal strength inside my apartment.

Me too - ##3282# or any variant with asterisks does not give me the menu.

Any ideas? RM-937 1520 (HK import to Canada)
