How do I fix the issue where it says....

We can't connect to the stores right now, check your data connection.

So urm im kind of dumb with tech... do you need a sim card to have data? xD This happens when i try to connect to the store to download apps/games, please help!

Support for Windows Phone 8.1 ended on July 11, 2017.
After December 16, 2019, the Store in Windows Phone 8.1 will no longer be available for downloading new apps or reinstalling previously downloaded apps. Users who reset or reimage their phones will not be able to recover previously downloaded apps after this date.

The phone does not need a sim. The end of support is the problem.

Do not reset your phone if you want to keep it running like it is now. If you reset the phone will not accept your account when it restarts.
