whatspp messenger not working

I bought a Nokia LUMIA 710 phone 2 days back. I am using a Vodafone India connection and have got 3G enabled.
I installed whatsapp messenger using my data plan and now, whatsapp is not working on my phone.
Has anybody else faced the same issue for whatsapp on your windows phone?

What is happening? Does it show any error? Or it just doesn't open? Did you try to reinstall it, maybe using wi-fi?

To be honest I've had WhatsApp on several devices and I've never got on with it, everybody raves about it but I think its a load of rubbish.

Agreed whatsapp sucks, just uninstall it and reinstall. Phone numbers in your contacts need to have their country code entered for whatsapp to recognise them. So for USA the number is 001 UK 044 etc and remove the first zero from the phone number. It's the same on android and they expect people to pay for it next year? Not a chance!
