After Factory reset-how to restore call history and downloaded maps?

I had to reset my phone to factory settings and was stuck with the two gears for two days. Only after browsing sites and forums for 2days and a visit to nokia care could get the Phone working.
After syncing the phone the only things not returned are call history, and maps settings (though expected)
So the query
1. How to get back the call history.
2. The maps are already downloaded in memory card but application is not reading them how to get that fix
Please help.

1) You cannot restore call history.

2) Change your default memory to store maps to SD Card. This can be done using Storage checker. Once you do this, you should be able to access the downloaded offline maps.

The trick for maps worked very smoothly, thanks a lot

Very informational video this. But I'd recommend you to check the comments. I've reset my Lumia 720 and 920 many times and what I shared with you was from personal experience. I'll reset my device once it receives Black+GDR3. Need to try and restore using Wifi.
