How can I stop text message interruptions when on a call, Lumia735?

Text message interruptions when on a call. Lumia735

Whenever I am on a call and a message comes through the text tone sounds and interrupts my call. So much so I cannot hear the person on the other end of the phone. I have had numerous Nokias and this is the first time I have come across this. Can anyone help?

i've never had this issue, although, i don't make calls or get texts enough to be sure if i have this problem or not lol forever alone
