Hello, I am a long time iphone user but I am getting fed up with the same old stuff. I'm seriously thinking of switching to a nokia phone particularly the 830 when its released in the us for AT&T. Iv played around with the 1020 at the microsoft stores and it seems like a decent phone. I guess my question is if you were new to windows phone would you go 830 or 1020!

Thanks

If the camera is the most important feature for you, get the 1020 or if you can wait, wait for an announcement of the 1030. If the camera isn't as important, get an 830. Aside from the camera, the 830 is pretty much superior in every way.

I own a Nokia Lumia 1020, it's simply amazing, and buying also a camera grip to fully experience its powerful camera is not an option, IT'S A MUST! XD

I've got an 830 and the camera is good. Not as many megapixels as the 1020, but the quality of the photos is excellent, especially low-light ones where so many cameraphones fail. I'd say it's as good as the 1520 camera.
It really is a good all-round phone...slim...good battery life...16GB internal storage and memory card...big vibrant screen...removable battery (yayy) ...wireless charging...and changeable backplates.

Thanks for the replies! Im not to concerned with the camera as I was ok with the iphone camera, and to my knowledge the 830 has a better camera then the one on the iphone!

I'd go with the 830. Much better battery life than the 1020 with still a very good camera, built-in OIS, premium build-quality, removable battery and exchangeable back covers, and probably the sleekest smartphone design out right now.

In the end the 1020 is preferred to only who really would use its camera, if not it would be pointless to take it and would be better to spend money in something more affordable in both price and battery life.

Don't forget built in wireless charging on the 830. If you haven't used wireless charging you don't know what you're missing.

I have an 830 and got one for my gf. She came from an iphone 5 and just loves the 830. Solid build and agree with the camera being great, wireless charging and removable battery is awesome, and the external SD storage is much appreciated
