Hi Guys.
I bought a Lumia 830 RM985 to use on T-Mobile to replace my Lumia 810.
The area I live in has T-Mobile 4G\LTE available, and my Lumia 925 has no issues connecting to their towers and placing calls over 4G.
My 830 cannot place or receive calls at all while connected to the same towers.
Does anyone else on T-Mobile with a 985 have these issues? I've called customer support but they haven't been any help. Furthest I got was getting them to set up MMS APN settings.

Thanks!

you're actually making VOICE calls with 2G even if it says 4G...I have a RM-985 and if it's set to "Highest connection speed" : LTE, 3G or 2G, voice calls are still only 2G. And no I don't have issues with it set to LTE and making calls

I use the RM-985 in T-Mobile. During calls the phone will go from 4G LTE to usually 3G or H+. This is normal. I know when calling using a T-Mobile branded phone the signal indication goes from LTE to just 4G. I wonder if this has to do with HD Voice that's on the T-Mobile phones?

T-Mobile since forever has branded 3G/HSPA+ as 4G. Even my old HTC Amaze 4G (which only had HSPA), shows 4G. I think T-Mobile phones will only ever show 2G, 4G or LTE.
