It's Official - Verizon Lumia Black Update

GDR3 and Black Updates have been released.....

You might need to run the check for updates Twice at minimum.
The First should be GDR3
The Second should be Black

It will take a while for both to finish. Plug in your phone, Walk Away and leave it alone.
It may need to reboot again, so wait for that to appear and reboot.
Check it later after each update is finished.

NOTE: It appears that Nokia needs to fix Nokia Beamer and StoryTeller
They do not yet detect that I am running Black. But clearly I am.
Hopefully that will be fixed soon.

I checked the box that says to automatically check for updates, it worked today!

I think they updated Storyteller so you only need Amber. It's in the phone description. Still, when I tried to download it a few days ago with GDR3 preview, it didn't work. Not sure what the problem is.

1. This is only for the Lumia 928, not the Lumia 822
2. It still doesn't let me download Storyteller and Beamer
3. It worked on one 928 but on my other one I get the following error message: "The update was downloaded, but couldn't be opened. (8018830f)." Nevermind that that comma shouldn't be there. Why isn't it working? I tried rebooting the phone, soft resetting it, blowing in the cartrige slot, and so forth, but it won't work.

How did you get Nokia Beamer to install? I've had no luck with Beamer or Storyteller.

Just to be clear. There are a couple of "Beamer" apps. Photo Beamer works for most all WP8 devices and versions. There is a distinct Beamer app that in affect mirror casts, or allows you to display your phone to a variety of portals ( TV, PCs, etc ). Downloaded Black update for 928 yesterday with no problems. Used Nokia Beamer with no problems either. However, I had installed it a while back, it just didn't work till yesterday.

Ok, I now have Nokia Beamer and Storyteller Beta.
Storyteller is slow though. But, it's beta.

Nokia Beamer is the app I have been waiting for.
Love it. Works great.
