Battery - is this usual?

This may be a silly question, but here goes...
When I am recharging my phone and I get the message that it is fully charged, if I then switch of the phone and switch it back on I find that it now indicates that the phone is only ~88% charged.
The phone is about six days old but has been used extensively.
Can you agreed any light?

Sounds like it's a little confused. I would charge it, and run it down to completely flat and recharge it. Then try to reproduce the problem. If it still crops up after doing that a couple of times I'd say your battery is a bit dodgy and needs replacing under warranty.

I would recommend to charge it longer even when it shows 100%
I'm facing that issue too with my brand new 925.

I tried both of these ideas in one go and initial indications suggest that it has been successful.

Good to hear it seems to be ok. Just to add to this - the manual does state to do the initial charge for 16 hours or so (well, older Nokias did at least), and that's something I do as habit with any new phone now, or it just cause issues like the one you describe.
