So I've decided. LG is still the daily driver. Went the V35 route a few moments back and picked something refurbished. Doubt I'll be able to unbrick the V35 for a while.I'm very uninspired and disinterested in getting a secondary device right now. I've got 4 options to handle the situation and while all are really good, it all feels like "meh".
I decided to stop fighting the changes and go a size up, as much as I don't want to. The discerning know what LG I picked up. I'll have it after labor day (unless it shows up Thursday) as we are by the gf's mother for the upcoming holiday. I'm hopeful to get one in decent shape as I was pretty lucky with the V35. There was an XZ3 in good shape I almost got instead. I ultimately picked the LG as that was the 64/4GB RAM variant of the XZ3. Outside of a Pixel 3, I'm not using a phone with less than 6GB RAM as my daily driver.
What I will take from the V35 experience is that utilitarian retro approach. Throw a skin and a hard slim case on it and go forward. Since I picked up a dreaded carrier variant, I'm not going to cross flash to debloat it. Likely will get used until it breaks. I'll look to add the business phone in November, so there's time.
In the interim, it's the Mate 20 Pro and the S3 classic.
