How can I get camera to work on Venue 8 pro?

When I click the camera app it says it can't and that maybe some other app is using it. Not so. Skype video won't work either. I just upgraded to Win 10 but camera didn't work in 8.i either.

You give your device reset. Then update your device manager. Hope that solved the problem.

This doesn't work unfortunately. In fact the driver from Windows update is the culprit as it defaults the driver to some Intel 2400 camera which is not the one on the DV8P.



The right way of doing this is:
1) Go to device manager and under Imaging devices, find the Intel 2400 camera and uninstall and delete the drivers (checkmark prompt) from the system.
2) Download the Intel Z3700 drivers from Dell's website and reinstall it, this will reset your drivers for the front and back camera
3) Follow the tutorial in this link and disable automatic driver updates from Windows Update
