Weird email thread bug?

In my inbox, mail has started joining together two separate threads - one with emails from my wife to me, and one with emails from me from another account. We have the same surname, but other than that I can't see why the mail app thinks they should go together. They were sent on different days and are entirely unconnected.

Anyone else had this?

I've had that happen with a couple Craigslist emails

Similar subject lines would do it. I've also had several emails without subjects (from different people about different topics) combined into one "No subject" thread.

Ah - that could be it! Funny it doesn't check other things like time/date/sender though!
