I'm contemplating a switch from Android to WP8. But I really like Google map's street view. Is there any way I can access that from a WP8 device? I don't mind using browser either, so it doesn't have to be an app!

Thanks.

Just pin the web page to your start screen. Hey presto, google maps "app".

You won't see anything official from google.

There is an app for WP7.5 called gMaps Pro, and it has Street View.

Microsoft has already said that apps that work on WP7.5 will work on WP8 (although the opposite will not be the case).

Dont worry about this, there is gMaps and it will work in WP8

Also all WP8 devices will now come with Nokia Maps as default and trust me you will love Nokia maps too, even if you dont, gMaps works like a charm

It's funny I have gotten use to using Bing search and its not bad at all now, and I'm coming from years of ios and android usage.

GMaps pro works like a charm! Has Street View built in, as well as Latitude. Does everything Google Maps does on an Android (pretty much)

Well one big thing it doesn't have is showing multiple options for transit directions. You can't get future directions or anything. A lot of the times there are multiple routes to a place, you can't choose them.

Yeah just the google search app, which is not all that necessary if you have apps like prosearch or serach all
Sent from my Nokia Lumia 920 using Board Express
