Facebook Contact Links, without adding everyone!

Hi all,

So, my partners just got her new HTC 8S. Personally shall be sticking to my iPhone 5 but each to there own!

My partner is just sorting out all her contacts. Now, she doesn't want all of her Hotmail/Facebook contacts, as she just wants to list her chosen contacts. But, she does want to have these contacts linked to the Facebook accounts.

Is there anyway to list just her chosen contacts (or manually added ones), and still have them linked? As obviously the minute there linked, it comes up 'contact won't be displayed as Facebook contacts are hidden'.

We don't want the hundreds of Facebook contacts lol!

Yes, this can be done by creating a Group of contacts in the People app, adding the desired contacts to the group and then pinning the group to the homescreen instead of the normal People app. You can create a group in the Outlook.com web interface and it will sync to the phone.
