Prevent accidental camera launch when phone is locked???

I recently bought a lumia 625 and I can't understand what "Prevent accidental camera launch when phone is locked" under photos+camera settings really does. I have checked it and when I am in lock screen if I press and hold the camera button the camera app launches.
I don't want the camera to start if the button is pressed unless if I have unlocked the phone.

I'm pretty sure it has to do with the proximity sensor. If you enable the option, you won't be able to accidently launch the camera while the phone is locked and in your pocket (or holster or similar).
