Erase phone with broken screen

Hello,

I dropped my Nokia Lumia 820 and the LCD screen broke :unhappysweat: I will be selling the phone on eBay and I would like to reset the phone so none of my data is there. As, the screen is broken I cannot do it in the usual way (go to Settings). I tried to erase phone remotely from The Smartphone Reinvented Around You | Windows Phone (United States) but it didn't work, because the website coudn't locate my phone.

Is there some other way to erase data from phone memory?

Volume Up + Power button. Doesn't it do hard reset, and you don't need screen for this

Replacing the screen on the 820 looked pretty easy. Have you considered just getting it repaired?

It is actually Power button + Volume down.

Whether it worked or not, I don't know because of the not working screen.

I have but new screen will costs $80 and the phone is worth around $160 so I don't think it's worth. Unless you know where to get cheaper LCD for Lumia 820?

I did software update and it said it will delete my data so I guess it works. Thanks!

That's soft reset. Pwr + Vol up is hard reset
