Part 10 of 19 now. So far so good. It looks like if one is planning to do the preview on 52x you'll need to have at minimum 4gb of space free on it before doing it so not to have problems.

Any one care to walk me thru this NSU thing please. Where did you find it? Is it same as the Nokia recovery tool? Thanks

i don't understand how you got wp8.1 installed with this error. I don't need the NSU as my phone didn't break. Only problem i get is the error 80183309. How did you do it?

When my 520 "broke" I was getting 80188308 code. And had a failure to load 8.1. At the time I had something like 2plus GB space available memory of the 8GB.
Plus 64GB SD card with 16 plus used for music. So I did hard reset and things went downhill from there. Gears then :-( then having to do the Nokia thing.
I'm guessing my problem came about because of lack of space in the internal memory. Cause after the going to Nokia website and doing the restore I got to 4GB of free space.
And the update to 8.1 went fine and the and both (problem child) 520 and 920 have been working great.
I'm wondering what going happen with hardware design for it.

I have the error 80188308 when I try to upgrade to 8.1 GDR1. Can someone confirm that a hard reset helps in this situation? I want to be sure before I do a hard reset.
