Hello,

Has anyone figured out how to make Bing or Cortana identify music that's currently playing? Disablign Cortana by changing my region reveals the option on the regular bing screen, but no idea how to do that when Cortana is enabled.

From Cortana's main screen, hit the music note at the top right next to the hamburger icon.

Weird! I don't see that Icon. I only see the Hamburger icon. It must not be my Xbox account, because it works without Cortana, the regular old way :'(

Very very weird! Once I asked her to identify music for me, I see the music icon now. Well.

after saying "what's playing now ?" it shows the Listening music .... 4-5 sec... and "i cant get to the internet right now , make shure your connected then try again"
i am connected with WIFI.

and music button not showing near to hamburger button :(

I also have the same problem. I cant seem to have that music icon. Everytime I asked whats playing it says that im not connected to the internet. Anyone have any idea on how to fix this?

Hello All,

I fixed the problem by

1. Asking Cortana "what's playing now?"
2. Closing Cortana while she was searching for the music
3. Opening Cortana again - I saw the Music icon now

I didn't see any internet connectivity errors, sorry.

The issue itself might be fixed before actual rollout

What's your location? And webcast device do you have?

i have nokia lumia 520 please send me some fotos of your setting region, language, time, location

As far as I know, the Xbox music detection service doesn't depend on the region on your phone, but on the Xbox region configured on your Xbox account. Go into your Xbox account settings in your browser and change your country to the US or UK.
