Email Notification on Lockscreen Doesn't Go Away Automatically...

I just added a Gmail account to my Lumia Icon and included a notification on the lock screen.

Whenever I read the email on my desktop, the notification still remains on the lock screen. Anyway to fix this? Thank you

On WP8.0, Gmails can only be synced in timed intervals. So, you will just have to wait until next sync cycle comes to sync the email read status. You need to wait for 8.1 update to get push email on Gmail.
