People Hub New Feature?

So many of you might have already figured this out so don't judge me.

When we got wp8.1 I mourned the loss of being able to like,comment, etc. My FB thread from PH. However I just liked and commented from the Hub, something I haven't done since WP 8. How? I clicked into the pic and the options then became available. I didn't have to go into FB. Is this new or always present?

Hey Byrese it is always present but the only thing most people missed out is ability to send facebook messages via system message app and also integration to the sim messages app i.e., no duplication of threads when u start messaging to particular person whether it is a regular message or facebook message....this was the feature i liked the most.....
