Where is 8.1

I am really tired of hearing about 8.1 and not having it. I have an HTC 8x on Verizon and I talked to a tech support rep yesterday and he said they have no info on when Verizon will release 8.1 and they normally know when it is within a month. Its been 3 months since its been release and according to him, no Verizon phone has gotten the update. Do the other carriers have the update? AT&T, Tmobile, Sprint? Has anyone had any issues with going the Developer preview route?

There was a news post yesterday about this, Microsoft & Verizon are now working together to get the update done, but don't expect it anytime soon.
