Hello, I did a clean update to Windows 10 on my notebook and when I try to insert the product key from my previously installed Windows 7 Home Premium I get the 0xc004f050 error.
Can't activate the OS.

You have to upgrade first. Then you have a valid Windows 10 key. Then you can clean install and not have to enter a key at all.

Same thing happened to me! Also upgrading from Windows 7 HP. I can't go back though because I deleted my OS and never set a backup... :'(

I did the same thing, but also inserted the windows 7 certificate using the cmd, I made a backup for it, but still no activation of windows 10. Is there anything else that we could do to activate? What will happen now, because I cant go back either, I deleted the windows.old file.
