100% charge , says 13 hours left!!

as you can see in the title itself, even though i charge my phone 100% it shows 13 hours left.
earlier it used to show 1 day remaining.

i have also noticed a slight decrease in the battery life.. but i'm not sure. i have the Samsung omnia w.
what is the problem? do i need to replace the battery? is 13 hours common battery life for omnia w?

Have you checked to see what background task are running?

i have just weatherduck on
and when i check advanced..the applications that run in the background but cant turn off manually.
it has 15 programs..

this is the exact reason i didnt go for android, because it was hopeless with battery. And now WP is having same issues
