1020 / 2016

I enjoy using my 1020 around the house, the camera is way to slow to take photos of my kids, I use my Nexus or iPhone 6 for that..

The Microsoft Camera app in the Windows Phone 10 builds is much faster, but it doesnt have the RAW option. It'll still take high res photos though, and is faster.

Im using oppo r7 plus now, nothing amazing except battery life. haha
But i always thinking on getting back to L1020. On store just now i found a 64Gb version that i dont know ever exist. I also found battery replacement for this device at the store. Wonder why the replacementt cannot come in bigger capacity e.g 2800 -3000. Otherwise surely switch back.

I would love to go back to my 1020 as a daily, I just can't take the small screen size. After the 1020, I had a 1520 and now a Note 4. That 4.5" screen is beyond tiny.

I really need to get that thing back on 8.1.1 and play with it. W10 has kind of turned me off...

Oh wow, I'm probably among the very few that finds it big, but I'm using it mostly single-hand, so there's that.

hoyoyo80 - You have to get physically bigger battery and there's no room, so we are stuck with the 2000mAh batteries. Not really the same, but I got the wireless charging case as well as Qi Power Bank 10000mAh. It's 1.5cm taller than the phone, other dimensions are the more or less the same (as the 1020), has 2 USB ports for wired charging. I have at least 2 full charges worth we me, so no worries.

Surrender. Order a yellow lumia 32gb(previously black) but 64gb out of stock. I really wanted to know where to get wireless case and powerbank;p can someone post ur wireless case and pbank pic?

You can mke any case wireless if you get the 920 charging coil. They are available around. then any charge pad will work.

Hard to find at my place. I ended up buy portable pbank;)

Ok since im "new" to wp, what will i miss if i upgrade from wp8.1 to wm10?

Thanks

Staying on my 1020 for the 3rd year. Does what I want the way I want. Maybe updating to W10 if it becomes available and is not buggy.

They do not use glue to hold it in place, there is a locking mechanism inside the phone to hold the screen, maybe your glass is separating from the digitizer.

If they didn't use a UV set adhesive, the screen can separate from the digitizer, you would think repair guys would know this, rather than doing things on the cheap

I misunderstood, I thought they meant the entire thing was glued in like lots of other phones. No, the glass is glued to the digitizer yes.

Staying with my 1020 and so is my wife, until a true replacement with a camera as good or better than the 1020 comes along. I am running Windows Mobile 10, she is running 8.1 and does not want to update. I would like a more powerful version of the 1020 with slightly larger screen, octa core processor, expandable memory, wireless charging and a better camera. If it comes along, fine. If not, no need to upgrade the phone.

I am in the same postion. We both have 1020s and love them. I just want everything the same, but more storage and faster processor. Size is perfect, camera is perfect, shape and style is perfect. A 820 and 128gb ram in the 1020 with the 41 mp camera would be my dream phone. I would pay 1200 bucks outright for one of those!

Missed my 1020. Rocking my Z5 Compact in yellow as my daily phone but I ordered a new 1020 this week in yellow to have as an extra phone/camera. I really missed the camera from my 1020. I did have a 950 XL for a few months but Windows 10 is just too buggy.
