1020 bands vs 920 bands - SUPER confused

So according to this site the 1020 and 920 have the same bands......

My wife and I have the 1020 and 920, unlocked on T-Mobile

However my 1020 gets LTE and at best her phone gets HSPA+. ALSO many times I will still be in LTE and she will drop to E

Any thoughts?

Sounds like a defective L920

I dont think it is. I have had the 920 for a year and have notice signal get better as Tmo re-farmed our area, I never expected to get LTE on either device

Try swapping SIMs and see if it changes. I've heard, from AT&T, that the SIM card can make a difference.

Doesnt make a difference in my case. THe 920 was mine for a year so I experienced the same thing. I just got the 1020 last week

I do know that the 920 has a horrible time with GPS reliability (based on my experience with 5 different 920s) so maybe it also has issues with other signal strength items. I know I was watching a video on disassembly/reassembly of the 920 and I was surprised at how the antenna contacts were made. It didn't seem like they would be overly reliable. I'm not an EE or phone designer so they might be just fine in reality.
