Trying to take some pictures of my Christmas lights on my house but the pictures turn out dark using Nokia pro cam on auto. any tips?

Pull out the settings wheel and change the exposure time to 1/4 second. Just be sure to either prop the phone on something or keep it very still. You can even try the 4 second exposure for a more dramatic effect.

The image stabilization is so good that i can take a 1/2 second shot at night and it is still crisp. All i want now is an adjustable aperture on a phone. I can dream, right?

i would also make sure the flash is not on auto, make sure it is off, you dont need it while taking pictures of lights. If the camera thinks you are just taking a regular low light shot it turns the flash of but it underexposes to make up for the normally bright flash. If you are far away or taking pictures of light this can cause your shot to look dark.
